What We Believe

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, written by men of God through the inspiration of the
Holy Spirit.  ""All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.  (2 Tim. 3:16-17 NIV)

We believe in one God revealed in three coequal, distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19-20; Ephesians 2:18)

We believe that man in his natural state is a sinner, lost, undone, without hope and without God. (Eph. 2:1-2; Romans 3:23)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, by His incarnation and virgin birth he took upon Himself the form of man.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning." (John 1:1-2 NIV)  "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14 (NIV)

We believe he lived a sinless life, was crucified, died and was buried.  He rose again three days later and became the only sacrifice for the sins of the world in order to undo the works of the devil. (Ephesians 1:3-5; Romans 5:1-11; 1 Peter 1:18-19)

We believe that salvation is obtained only through his shed blood on Calvary. (Hebrews 9:14)  "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."  (Romans 10:9-10 NIV)

We believe that believer's Water Baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances of the church and should be practiced regularly. (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-10; 1 Corinthians 10:16-21)

We believe in the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit according to the book of Acts 2:1-4 and the endowment of power after we have received the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38-39; 10:44-46) which enables us to go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation and obey the instruction given us by Jesus Himself in Mark 16:15-18.  We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and that these gifts are given to believers as the Holy Spirit determines (1 Cor. 12:4-11) and that they are given to strengthen the church. (1Cor. 14:26)

We believe and look forward to the return of Christ "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." John 14:3 (NIV)  We believe that we should live everyday in the expectation that Jesus can return today to retrieve his bride and that we should be ready, prepared without stain or blemish, understanding that this righteousness is only attained through our acceptance of the gift of salvation offered through Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice on the cross for each of us personally. (Rev. 19:7-8; Rev. 21:2) Come Lord Jesus, Come! Rev. 22:17 (NIV)

We believe that we are a chosen people belonging to God and that we should declare the praises of Him who called us and lead and encourage the Bride to declare the praises of our King (1 Peter 2:9) and worship Him "in spirit and in truth". "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24 (NIV)

We believe that we are called by Jesus Christ himself to fulfill the Great Commission. “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." Mark 16:15-18 (NIV)

"Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak
your word with great boldness.  Stretch out your hand to heal and
perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of
your holy servant Jesus."
Acts 4:29-30 (NIV)
